We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are now recruiting for a Planner to join our Kier Infrastructure Major Projects team in Sellafield to provide planning support for all aspects of the business stream activities from pre-tender to final account stage.


Key Responsibilities

This is an exciting Planner role where you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the contractors plan in accordance with the contract and ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of the programme. You will be communicating programme performance, time and outcomes with project managers and other key stakeholders. You'll identify resource needs as well as support budget monitoring and assist the Commercial Manager with the financial progress, performance reporting and management of works programme. As a Planner you'll be attending tender handover meetings, where you will discuss the strategy/methodology of the programme, describe the potential target that can be achieved and put forward any ideas for improvement on key factors such as time and cost. You will conduct programme audits as required by senior management and submit independent reports.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for an experienced Planner with a minimum of a HNC or HND along side comprehensive programme delivery experience. You will demonstrate experience in leadership, resource and management. Previous work with risk identification and assessment is required along with a detailed knowledge of managing and maintaining a works programme. Must have complete knowledge of MS Office Suite including Project, Project Server and SharePoint.
