Location: Flexible working available, where you will be initially based out of one of our offices in Stafford, Gloucester or Bristol with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites

A great opportunity for a Planner (or Planning Engineer) to join the Highways team in West Midlands. The successful candidate will be working as a member of integrated planning and project controls team, under the direction and leadership of the project planning manager.

Key Responsibilities

The Planner's responsibilities include all aspects of planning, phasing, coordination and sequencing for tenders and live projects, including the incorporation of design, procurement and pre-construction activities into a fully integrated, logic linked programme. This will include timely and accurate progress updates, development and maintenance of the integrated schedule, and provision of time-related data and analysis.

What do we need from you?

This role will require somebody with experience gained on major projects with a main contractor or design consulting organisation and must be able to develop survey, design and construction programmes based on agreed methodology and to assist site teams in preparation of detailed look-ahead programmes, reviews of sub-contractor programmes, as well as providing key performance data for the production monitoring and management information system. Ability to understand and demonstrate knowledge of highways design and construction methodology. Good IT skills and experience of using professional planning tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
