We're looking for a Planner to initially manage, monitor and develop all aspects of our Oxford Station Phase 2 programme of works. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

In this exciting Planner role, you'll initially play a key role within the Oxford Station Phase 2 project, working with our Senior Planner, to aid delivery to time and budget. You'll ensure the programme is continually developed, communicated, reviewed, monitored, and efficiently delivered across all stages of the project planning life cycle, supporting the project management team through construction and handover.

You'll work closely with the operational team to plan the sequence of work, explore, and develop "what-if" and mitigation scenarios, contributing to a key stage of the project. You'll also provide key data to support the business unit project control and reporting.

Due to business needs, this role could develop beyond the Oxford Station project, into support for other live projects.

  • Communicate programme performance, time and outcomes in a timely way with stakeholders and the Project Managers and generate and realise teams
  • Develop short term programmes as per the requirements of the team to assist in managing micro elements of the project.
  • Preparation of programme and method information for inclusion in submission document as per the tender deliverable's requirement
  • Develop and maintain the contractors plan in accordance with the contract
What do we need from you?

  • Demonstrable experience in contract planning for a main contractor, including contribution to and execution of change management
  • Experience within a civils rail project, with complex constraints and multiple stakeholders is desirable
  • Be able to accurately monitor a programme of works, challenging, contributing, maintaining records of change, trends, and variances, and be able to communicate and adapt to the same
  • Competency within Primavera P6
