We have a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual to join the Planning and Building Control team based in Leeds! We are looking for a Planning and Building Control Manager to be responsible for the management and participation in the delivery of projects, ensuring all necessary measures are taken so that works are carried out and completed in accordance with scope and programme. Your role will require you to influence feasibility scoping with an onsite presence, have confidence when managing sub-contractor networks, and proactively promote services internally to drive business growth. Our ideal candidate will have a Building Control Background within the construction industry, with relevant technical qualifications and an awareness of planning legislation. Role Details
  • Salary: £28,000 - £31,500 plus the opportunity to earn commission
  • Role based: Leeds, LS12 6LZ
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities * Act as technical advisor assisting colleagues by assessing proposed scope and design information in line with regulation/legislation highlighting areas of non-compliance and offer practical solutions. * Manage project work: ensure completion within planned costs and agreed timescales, mitigate risk. * Accountable for effective and efficient management of project scope and design information from conception to completion to obtain legislative approvals for modular construction schemes. * Confidence in managing a sub contactor network daily, ensuring agreed deliverables are met within timescales. * Production of supporting documentation and collation of technical details i.e., site plans to obtain Building Control plan check approval criteria. * Submission of Building Control and Planning applications; influencing key decision makers to negotiate legislative approvals. * Promote, manage, and develop commercial and finance performance of Building Control and Planning region.
