Kier is Working on the IMR Water Excluded Works Programme, the Planner is a key central role and carries out essential planning activities. The role will require the Planner to work with the other members of the Delivery and Planning Team to, monitor and maintain programme progress.

  • Prepare a weekly programme of work for teams in conjunction with the plan provided by the Programme Controller.
  • Submit associated requests to the NRSWA hub, traffic management and personnel bookings to allow work to proceed as scheduled
  • Respond to adjustments in the programme due to workload and seasonal fluctuations as identified by the Programme Controller
  • Collate and escalate as necessary any issues preventing efficient and effective planning of works
  • Respond to queries allocated within the Solutions Delivery Planning Team mailbox
  • Monitor and respond to customer generated enquiries in-line with SIM guidelines
  • Competent user of all relevant IT systems i.e. SAP, Click, Gnet and MS Office packages
  • Creating, amending and viewing records within the Planning Database
  • Understanding the street works legislation relating to New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004
  • Understanding of Street Works compliance reports and implications from none compliance

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Must demonstrate a good standard of IT skills.
  • Proven experience of being methodical, organised, paying attention to detail and working to deadlines
  • Understanding of teamwork.
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Data handling experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Knowledge of New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004


Desirable

  • Background experience in Construction, Utilities.
