We are recruiting an experienced Planning & Delivery Manager to work as a member of the Local Authority Framework Bid Team under the direction and leadership of the Business Manager, they will be responsible for programming, resource planning, ECI, value engineering and effective delivery of site works including management of the self-delivery teams and specialist supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
The Planning & Delivery Manager role will take projects from conception, through tender, onto site and through close out, responsibilities will include creating logic linked programmes including all aspects of planning, phasing, coordination, and sequencing of works for tender and then when successful to safely and effectively deliver those works to budget and programme, assisting with close out of final account and as built information. This will include timely and accurate progress updates, development, maintenance of the integrated schedule and working closely with site teams to oversee the successful implementation of schemes by bringing construction knowledge and experience to overcome practical problems with innovative build ideas and solutions.
What do we need from you?
The Planning & Delivery Manager role requires someone with site experience gained on local authority projects with a main contractor. They must be able to develop survey, design and construction programmes based on agreed methodology and to assist site teams in preparation of detailed look-ahead programmes, review sub-contractor programmes and manage the delivery of the works to programme on the ground. Good IT skills and the ability operate professional planning tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
