Planning Engineer - Civils
Peterborough
£45,000 - £58,000
We currently have a requirement for a Planning Engineer to work on a civil engineering framework in the Midlands, based from Peterborough. The role will involve planning on a number of highways schemes worth anything from £20,000 to £3m each, including crash barriers, bridge refurbishment, land remediation, etc; although the projects are fairly small, the key will be managing the volume of schemes that are running concurrently. The role will likely be based in Peterborough for the next four years.
Our client is seeking an individual with a civil engineering background with an understanding of how such projects might materialise on site. At the very least, you will have planning experience within the civils sector and will be expected to create detailed programmes, monitor/update, progress report on many projects at the same time. You will need to be self-sufficient planning-wise and be able to work under minimal supervision.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following experience:
-Previous planning experience within the civil engineering sector (will consider water, general infrastructure as well as highways/roads)
-Site-based background would be a distinct advantage (i.e. section/site engineer before becoming a Planner) but not essential.
-Proficiency with PrimaVera P6 software.
-A relevant engineering degree would be an advantage.
-Eligible to work in the UK.
Depending on your current level of experience, our client will offer a basic salary up to circa £45-58,000 per annum plus benefits, although flexible for the right candidate, with travel/allowance, pension, health, etc. Apply now for immediate consideration or contact Richard Evans on 01189 881105 for further details.
