Our client a civils contractor is looking to add an experienced planning mgr or senior planner to their project working out of their office in the Cambridgeshire area. They have an interesting heavy civil engineering project and are looking to add a planning mgr to the porject to manager a team of planners.


The role

Your duties will include:

  • Establish the projects planning approach to drive engagement of the whole project team with the programme in a collborative manner.
  • Oversee the planning team to adopt efficient design, procurement, and construction strategies for successful project delivery.
  • Develop and oversee the planning approach for the project taking into account both the clients requirement and the internal needs of the business.
  • Interrogate the programme and identify areas for improvements, risk reduction and potential issues across the whole project.
  • Oversee contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring performance and resolving contract-related issues.

The candidate

You will have

  • A relevant qualification in civil engineering or construction to HND level or equivalent
  • Able to display previous experience in a similar role
  • Competent in the use of P6 software.
