Reporting to the Performance Manager; this role will provide day-to-day leadership and direction for a diverse Repair and Maintenance Planning Team working on behalf of a key Utilities client. Central to success is this role will be ensuring Team compliance with all elements of the New Roads and Streetworks Act and driving of Team performance to effectively deliver to relevant Client & Internal KPIs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-Day leadership of a dynamic Repair and Maintenance Planning team responsible for scheduling Repair and Maintenance (Utilities - Water) work to various Field Teams from planning of Installations/Repairs to Reinstatement.
  • Direct Line Management of 3 Team Leaders and c.15-20 indirect reports including PDRs, career development, objective setting and recruitment
  • You will be expected to effectively support and lead your Team Leaders to ensure:
  • An accurate and productive schedule of work is produced for all field teams
  • Compliance with all aspects New Roads and Streetworks Act
  • Effective liaison with Client, Councils and Key Stakeholders to progress challenging works and build effective relationships
  • Delivery of relevant Contract KPIs including Levels of Service and Data Quality
  • Your team maintain a professional standard of behaviour and performance

  • Individual

  • No formal qualifications are required for role although Degree / A-Level / NVQ3+ are favourable
  • Significant Experience of leading similar size diverse teams required
  • Experience of Water R&M or other Utilities deemed ideal
  • Experience of Streetworks/NRSWA ideal
  • Any Management or Leadership Qualifications would also benefit applicants
