We are currently looking to recruit a Plant and Transport Assistant Manager to start work ASAP for a reputable Groundworks and plant hire firm based in Durham

  • This role is to start asap
  • Full time, 37.5 hours a week, 8:30-5pm Mon-Thur, 8:30-4pm Friday
  • Start on a 4 week temporary contract with an opportunity to go permanent
  • Working for a reputable groundworks company with a head office based in Durham
  • Will be working within a small office based team
  • A 1 Week handover will be given with current PTA

Role will include

  • Using InspHire system for the on and off hire of vehicles and machinery
  • Management of transport of plant and machines to sites
  • Organise maintenance of machinery (responsible for the work of 4 members of staff)
  • Keeping accurate records
  • Route planning and logistics
  • Communicating with a variety of clients and customers and employees
  • Business administration
  • Raising invoices & dealing with queries
  • Call Handling

Candidate will ideally:

  • Have a good understanding of the hire industry, ideally with previous experience with the InspHire system (or can be trained)
  • Have previous experience working with plant and machinery
  • Be competent and have a good knowledge of computing & IT Skills
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Be able to work and communicate with other team members, staff and clients
