Location: working on sites in the Kent, Sussex and Surrey areas
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Responsibilities
As a Plant Operative, you'll be working within the Utilities Team supporting our UK Power Network Alliance in delivering cable and electrical infrastructure projects across the Power Network, typical value range of £500k to £10m. You'll report into the Site Supervisor working on cable laying and substation projects and operate construction plant and machinery.
Your day to day will include:
- Carry out and complete excavation and cable laying work on the UKPN network as directed
- General site supervision, including completion of all records as required
- All Health and Safety issues on site
- Communicating with the Supervisor and other colleagues to monitor progress and inform of problems
- Ensure proper use of plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum
What are we looking for?
This role of Plant Operative is great for you if:
- Hold CPCS / NPORS 360 Excavator, Roller or Dumper Qualification
- Training can be provided if not already held, but our operatives will be NRSWA qualified and Cat & Genny Trained
- Full driving licence
