Plant Supervisor - Luton Concrete Plant in Bedfordshire

At Breedon we are currently seeking a Plant Supervisor to run our Luton Concrete Plant in Bedfordshire. We're looking for proactive, hands-on people to join our South East team and as a Supervisor, you'll have the autonomy to run your own site. You'll play a key part in our concrete production within the area, keeping the site running smoothly to meet the needs of our local customers.
As a Supervisor your daily tasks will consist of batching concrete, first and foremost! Otherwise you'll help with ensuring the site is kept clean, tidy and safe with the support of our wider team and you'll liaise regularly with our distribution teams and hauliers to ensure we're meeting our customers needs.
If successful, you'll join a regional team, managed by the Production Manager. Plus, if you want to progress, then the opportunities are there - at Breedon we put our people first. We will develop you with a tailored development plan that is unique to you and we have great progression opportunities; many of our local managers have been promoted from within the Company.
You'll be working 48 hours a week Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday mornings, however we do ask for some flexibility to meet business demand.
What we'd love for you to bring to the role…
- Experience in a similar role or environment such as asphalt, aggregates, concrete, cement, quarrying or mining
- Hardworking, reliable, and professional individual, with good communication skills
- NVQ Wheeled Loading Shovel licence is desirable, however full training would be given to the successful applicant
- Experience of working in an environment where Health and Safety is paramount
- Your own transport, as our Stevenage site isn't accessible by public transport
