Protocol are working with a leading FE College based in the West London area. It is a very well-established College graded as "Outstanding" by Ofsted. The College's students are at the heart of what they do, and their priority is to prepare all their learners for the future. The excellent staff and facilities ensure that they provide a well-rounded learning experience to students to help them reach their full potential. Last year over 800 students from the A-Level and Vocational Courses went on to study at top universities.
Our client currently has an exciting opportunity to join them on a full-time, on-going basis as a SEND/PMLD Lecturer starting ASAP.
Role responsibilities
The college are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to teach on a range of programmes for learners with PMLD, LLD, SLD and Autism. Classes will be both mixed in age as well as ability and learning needs. You may teach learners with ASD/ELD and/or complex needs learners according to your specialism
The person & qualifications
You will need to have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area and at least years' experience of teaching learners with ASD, SLD and PMLD
Experience of developing the curriculum and course evaluation
Good working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Possess or be willing to work towards an advanced level teaching qualification (DET, PGCE) which will be supported by the College
