About the Role as Poling Supervisor

Reporting to the Direct Labour Delivery Manager the role holder will be responsible for site and field supervision of direct labour poling operatives to ensure that all client tasks are delivered to required timescales, in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring all contractual processes, procedures and quality standards are met.

Poling Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

As Poling Supervisor, you will be reporting to the Direct Labour Delivery Manager, responsible for overseeing all Direct Labour poling activities relating to client orders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Safety audits of the direct labour poling operatives
  • Day to day management of the operatives including timesheet authorisation, annual leave approval, implementation of the attendance process
  • Liaising with poling team project manager and back-office staff to schedule and allocate work to poling crews
  • In field safety and quality coaching and identification of operative training and accreditation requirements
  • Client liaison - Sub-contractor delivery partners
  • Responsible for ensuring the required stores and materials are available for the poling crews to complete work each day
  • Responsible for ensuring the poling crews are working in accordance with the KIER Code of Conduct.
Skills and experience required:

  • Full Driver's License with a max of 3 points (CAT C preferable)
  • Good people management skills
  • Good understanding of highway legislation.
  • Awareness and understanding of the Openreach Network Installation Specifications.
  • NRSWA - Current qualification to supervisor standard
