Key Responsibilities
Due to continued growth within our region, we are recruiting for a Pre-construction Manager to join our established Western & Wales team, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects across many sectors including Education, Commercial, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Leisure, MOD, and MOJ.
Within the role, you will co-ordinate, lead and motivate the pre-construction teams in our Oxford and Gloucester offices, reporting into our Regional Director. The successful candidate will work with the Regional Team to help cultivate the strong pipeline of opportunities and convert these into profitable schemes through either single, 2 stage or negotiated procurement routes. Your role will directly impact the market share, revenue and gross profit of our business unit.
What do we need from you?
- HNC/D in Construction or related/equivalent qualification (Preferable but not essential)
- Good powers of written and verbal expression
- Strong influencing skills
- Able to effectively lead/coordinate the team
- Proactive problem solver underpinned by sound construction knowledge and experience.
- Sound knowledge of H&S&E
- MCIOB or MRICS qualified (or similar) preferred.
- Commercial; design; planning; project management or estimating qualification or skill set
- Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
