Due to growth, we are recruiting for a Pre-construction Manager to join our Eastern and Midlands region, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects including Education, Healthcare, Lesiure, MOD, Commercial and more!
Key Responsibilities
Kier Construction Eastern and Midlands are seeking a Pre-construction Manager to co-ordinate, manage and motivate the pre-construction bidding team at our Witham office, reporting into our Pre-Construction Director. The successful candidate will work with the Regional Team to generate profitable tenders for authorisation and submission, to maximise the order pipeline and its conversion into market share, revenue and gross profit within the business unit.
What do we need from you?
- HNC/D in Construction or related/equivalent qualification (Preferable but not essential)
- Good powers of written and verbal expression
- Strong influencing skills
- Able to effectively lead/coordinate the team
- Proactive problem solver underpinned by sound construction knowledge and experience.
- Sound knowledge of H&S&E
- MCIOB or MRICS qualified (or similar) preferred.
- Commercial; design; planning; project management or estimating qualification or skill set
- Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
