We're looking for a Premises Officer / Caretaker to join our team on our Lewisham Schools contract. Within this role, you can enjoy exposure to exciting projects, a Rewards and Benefits package, progressions opportunities and even more.

Location: Drumbeat School, Bromley

Contract: Permanent, full time - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week


Responsibilities

As a Premises Officer, you'll be supporting the team at Drumbeat School, to maintain the upkeep of the school premises to ensure a safe environment at all times. For example, by performing low level lamp changing, minor joinery repairs, minor plumbing repairs, machine cleaning, and grounds maintenance such as litter picking/snow clearing/gritting.

Your day to day will include:

  • Taking deliveries, carrying out emergency cleaning as required and conducting adjustments and maintenance

  • Reporting building maintenance issues to the office team and liaising with the facilities teams regarding work progress, and working closely with subcontractors

  • Locking and unlocking of grounds, managing site security and carrying out fire and safety precautions across the site


Who are we looking for?

This role of Premises Officer is great for you if:

  • You have previous experience within a Maintenance, Caretaker or Porter role

  • You deliver effective customer service and can engage with colleagues & the client in a positive manner

  • You are able to conduct heavy lifting in line with the manual safety handling training, and produce paperwork and information to be used for reporting
