We are looking to start a new career with a great company? Portakabin is looking for a Press Brake Operator to work at our Metal Fabrication based in York. In this role you will be responsible to work towards high standards of compliance with quality, technical specification, customer service and environmental requirements. You will ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated.
Role Details
- Hourly Rate: £14.18 per hour plus bonus scheme £2.00 per hour plus Shift Premium £25%
- Role based: New Lane, York, YO32 9PT
- Contract type: Permanent
- Annual leave: 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
- Shift - Double Day B
Morning Shift: Monday to Thursday from 5:45am to 2pm
Friday from 5:45 to 12:45pm
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday from 13:45 to 23:45
Friday - non-working day
Role Responsibilities
* Operating machinery within the Metal Fabrication Department ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy to achieve a safe working environment and an orderly standard.
* Be thorough in the separation and segregation of waste to meet environmental requirements.
* Reading drawings and Technical Specifications.
* Operating Press Brake machinery as well as other machinery in the metal fabrication department as required.
* Work effectively as part of a team with all internal customers to ensure timescales for completing work are achieved and quality standards reached.
* Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety.
* Maintain accurate records of production, and other operational data required by Production Team Leader.
* Ensure that all Quality standards are adhered to.
* Support continuous improvement to ensure the area is always looking at the best way to carry out a task.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
* Experience gained within a Metal Fabrication Department,
* Strong operational experience,
* Experienced in Press Brake Machinery,
* Ability to problem solving or analytical thinking,
* Planning and organising skills,
* SAP experience desirable.
