Responsibilities
As a Principal Electrical Engineer you'll be working with Kier Professional Services based in Manchester, Greater Manchester leading in the delivery of a broad range of complex Civil & Structural / MEICA and related services in both Temporary and Permanent Works.
You will also contribute to the delivery of more complex services by providing solutions which are safe and buildable (in both their temporary and permanent states), above all other considerations.
Your day to day will include:
- Lead the development of fee proposals, agreeing the technical requirements of the client remit, ensuring it is fully understood, questioning and challenging where necessary
- Organise and lead the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team, ensuring technical compliance of the design to the remit
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and Company policies / procedures, including CDM Regulations, the Kier SHE Management System (SHEMS) and design Quality Management System (QMS)
What do we need from you?
This role of Principal Engineer is great for you if:
- You are a chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. CEng MICE)
- You have 5 years relevant postgraduate experience
- You have a valid CSCS card and Full driving licence
