Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

Location: This is an agile role where you will be based out of our Liverpool office with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites

Business area: Kier Construction - Design & Business Services

Kier Construction are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to support projects based out of our Liverpool office. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from Education to commercial, healthcare, leisure, public sector and more!

Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will take the lead of delivering projects through the Mechanical Team. You will manage all aspects of the Building Services engineering and coordinating with the Principal Electrical Engineer and Regional Lead. You will maintain standards of qaulity product delivery as well as Preparation of designs and advice including feasibility, stage, and condition reports. Regular communication to the Mechanical Team Lead on all matters affecting output, progress, cost and risks.

What do we need from you?

It is essentail you have a HND/Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering plus significant experience demonstrating appropriate ability to fulfil the accountabilities of the role. To also have high level of computer literacy including competency in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, TAS, Cymap, Hevacomp and NBS software.

It is desirable to have experience of directing Mechanical Design Engineers and coordinating M&E design delivery as well as being able to manage clients; determining, understanding and managing their expectations. You will be organisaed and have a analytic approach to problem is solving.
