Protocol are delighted to invite a skilled and passionate Process engineering lecturer to deliver dairy process engineering modules within a college setting based in Nantwich. Modules are delivered with the aim to provide students with an understanding of the principles of dairy engineering whilst also covering the main unit operations and ancillary services associated with the industrial scale manufacture of dairy based food products. Thus providing students with a strong foundation of knowledge to later move on to more complex dairy engineering techniques; including cheese manufacture, milk processing and butter technology.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about dairy process engineering and have the drive and motivation to help learners to progress in their careers, increase their employability and support their personal development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the dairy processing industry, experience of teaching the dairy process engineering modules, and have strong organisational and communication skills in order to inspire and educate learners.

Learning covered within this module is highly focused on the practical environment but also entails lectures, tutorials, seminars and one-to-one sessions with students in order to help learners identify and examine the principles of unit operations used in dairy process engineering, apply engineering principles in the analysis of plant performance, maintenance and commissioning and evaluate the importance of factory service operations to the efficiency of a dairy manufacturing site.

This role is part-time, consisting of flexible hours in January designed to suit the availability of the candidate, providing students with 35 hours of contact time within the month plus additional hours for marking.
