Lafarge Cement a major manufacturer and supplier of cement, GGBS and Fly Ash to the UK construction industry are recruiting for a Process Operator (laboratory) at our Cauldon Plant. About the role As a Process Operator you will be responsible for conducting both routine and non-routine sampling and testing. This role is responsible for accurate analysis within the statutory legislation and the internal company Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Standards. Other elements of the role include: The role will involve regular testing and analysis of samples including final product, fuels, raw materials and any additional materials required To collect and test samples according to EN and Lafarge standards To assist with the day-to-day operations of the Cauldon Laboratory To ensure all customer requests are dealt with in a timely fashion General cleaning, safety and housekeeping duties First line maintenance and calibration duties on laboratory equipment To ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Standards To help advance Quality Control What will you bring? Have the ability to understand and communicate the results obtained and take responsibility for ensuring all testing of cements meets the required standards Knowledge of cement manufacturing is desirable Sampling, physical testing and chemical analysis IT literate particularly with Windows applications What can we offer you?
