Protocol is working with one of the best Further Education colleges in the country for 16-18 year-old level 3 student achievement and a leading apprenticeship provider. Based in Cambridgeshire, our client has some of the best facilities in the country and students enjoy learning here, thanks to inspirational teachers, excellent courses and industry-standard workshops, studios and salons. With around 700 staff, 3,500 full-time students and 4,500 apprentices, the campus atmosphere is always busy and vibrant. You will find a modern teaching environment with lots of energy and interaction. Graded as 'Good' with some outstanding features by Ofsted, a fantastic 95% of students go on to further education or employment.
Currently, we are recruiting for a temporary, full time procurement/purchase ledger for a temporary position starting at the end of June/beginning of July until the end of August. Offering an hourly rate of £10 per hour plus holiday pay this college is looking to interview immediately!
Role responsibilities
You will provide financial and administration support to the Procurement/Purchase Ledger Team.
To assist with the processing and checking of purchase orders on the College financial management system, ensuring value for money on College expenditure
To daily monitor the not yet authorised list of orders raised and liaise with originators and authorised signatories to progress orders.
To assist with the sourcing of goods and services including obtaining quotations.
To provide administrative support for the Procurement function and carry out other reasonable tasks requested by the line manager including assisting during College enrolment periods
To purchase goods/services using the college purchasing card in accordance with procedures and the college financial regulations.
To check and sign off purchasing card statements and receipts returned by cardholders on a monthly basis and file.
To update the college electronic contracts register 8. To log and book in goods ordered using college procurement cards issued to the procurement team
To provide administrative support for Purchase Ledger registering invoices, reconciling supplier statements and other support as required.
Archiving of all paperwork no longer required to be held in the office
Filing 3. Processing bus pass applications
Assist with credit control
Deal in a friendly and welcoming manner with enquiries
The person & qualifications
Candidates should have GCSE grade C or above in both Maths & English
Office/admin experience, ideally in a finance office environment
Excellent customer service and accurate attention to detail.
A DBS on the update service or applied for.
