We are working with a manufacturer of steel framed modular buildings who seek a Production Manager for their factory based in the East Midlands. The role is the focal point of our client's production function, so you need strong communication skills, the ability to think ahead and plan in advance.

Your role will involve:

  • Day to day management of all output at the factory
  • Scheduling all production and liaising with Team Leaders and others
  • Ensuring goods, materials and sub-contract services are available for production as required
  • Keeping the factory running smoothly, economically and identifying efficiencies with a view to implementing with the full "buy in" from your team
  • Managing a motivated and committed workforce, together with adhering to health, safety and quality standards

So who are we looking for?

  • Experienced Production Manager who understands manufacturing for the construction industry
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Strong communicator, able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy where required
  • Able to maintain appropriate boundaries while still being approachable to all your team
  • Outstanding organisation, planning and prioritising skills


If you are able to demonstrate knowledge of steel, particularly if it's from the offsite construction industry this would be highly beneficial.
