The Role - Production Manager
The successful Production Manager will be responsible for supporting the Panel Engineers by overseeing the operations within the Panel Shop, This will include building panels to drawings, including laying out and physically mounting devices to panel back plates/doors, wiring per drawing and testing the panel to ensure that it is built according to plan.

My client, formed in 1983 have organically grown and through continuous training and development their team are delivering the best level of service to their clients. They have a proactive approach to training and employ over 70 employees.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Be solely responsible in handing over a fully wired system for acceptance by the customer/commissioning engineers. Ensuring a zero defects delivery is provided
Responsible for ensuring panel production targets/time and programme requirements for individual project tasks are maintained or improved on
Consider and review alternative panel production methods to improve quality and costs
Liaise with project engineers to ensure schematics are a true representation of "as manufactured" control panels.
Provide annual performance appraisals for departmental personnel
Supervise and mentor staff to ensure best practices and efficiencies
Build up and wire control panels for BMS control systems, these systems will include components such as MCB's, fuses, contactors and overloads, relays, terminals, trunking and wires.
The Right Person
The successful Production Manager will have a minimum of 5 years related HVAC BMS Control Panel manufacturing experience as well as an Electrical Qualification. You must possess a background in electrical wiring and be competent in working from schematic drawings. You will have the ability mark out, drill and fit equipment as well as being competent at stripping and crimping cables.
