We are currently working on behalf of our client who is a busy railway contractor that delivers track maintenance, material supplies, manufacturer & is a Principle Contractor, based in Caerphilly.
They are looking to recruit a Production Manager with both man-management and technical skills, to lead a team of CNC Machinists and be responsible for their day-to-day organisation, Ensure end-client expectations are met by overseeing product quality and ensuring delivery timescales are met.
The ideal candidate will have;
- Line Management experience
- Experience of AutoCAD
- Experience of working within a production/ manufacturing environment
- Excellent communications skills, written & verbal
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment
- Experience of Temporary Works Supervision
- Time Management Skills
- Able to keep detailed progress records and prepared reports
- Knowledge & understanding of the risk assessment processes and techniques
- Environmental Awareness
General Responsibilities
- The Production Engineer is responsible for interpreting customer specifications and the creation of cost estimates and schedules while providing all necessary support during the execution of projects.
- Develop cost estimates and work schedules for production engineering
- Interface with Supply Chain and others as required to ensure cross communication to support and validate production plan.
Report on technical risk and provide input to innovation. - Engineering, Project Management, and Production Processes
- Deliver documentation, including instructions, operational manuals and proof of compliance, for our internal and external customers with key metrics for schedule, quality, and budget.
- Track and report on production level progress, hour utilisation, and costs throughout the job
- Complete a post job summary to highlights the successes and lessons learned.
You would be reporting to the Workshop Manager; Installation & Project Managers
Working hours are 7am - 4pm, however a degree of flexibility to meet the needs of clients.
