Our Client is urgently seeking to recruit a Production Manager for a full time and permanent role at their facility near Worksop. This role in based within a large scale reinforced concrete production facility manufacturing both precast and prestressed concrete elements for the heavy civil engineering sector.
This role is responsible for the management of the day-to-day production function of the business from project startup to completion, finishing and delivery. The Key areas of responsibility and management include:
Production with specific responsibility for implementation of:
Efficient Man Management, producing to targets within budget hours.
Safety
Quality
Housekeeping
Joinery / steelfixing / casting / finishing / logistics
This role will report to the Works Manager (WM), who presently fulfils the duties of Production Manager. To ensure an efficient introduction, after the first 4 weeks, present to the WM for agreement a clear set of KPIs to ensure there is agreement and to measure effectiveness of the performance of operations under your control. This must include a report template for regular reporting, minimum monthly.
Key Requirements:
* Precast or Site Experience 3+ years
* AutoCAD Experience preferable
* Ability to read technical drawings essential.
* Ability to use planning software such as MS Project an advantage
* Exposure to technical documents.
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience with moulds or other forming techniques advantage
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Production Generally, managing the production team;
a. Health & Safety; responsibility for all aspects of compliance - implement full compliance with current standards
b. Training - as above
c. Maintenance, preventative and planned - JCB/cranes/ batch plant/equipment, etc.
d. Logistics/deliveries - manage efficient operations and control of third party costs of cranes, trucks, etc.
e. Labour and efficiency - to meet budget and quality standards
f. Productivity - to meet set budgets
g. Planning and achieving targets of increased production throughput, to continue efficient growth of the business
h. Quality control - to meet high standards and satisfy clients
i. QA - update QA system, maintain/improve registration, CE Mark, etc.
j. RFI/Client interface/factory visits
k. General overall tasks which impact on above
Education
* Good general standard of education
* Computer literate - Word, Excel etc
