We are looking for a Production Planner to join a successful business specialising in the manufacture and supply of a range of engineered wood products, including roof trusses, floor beams and joists, spandrel panels etc.

Your role as a Production Planner will primarily involve:

  • Acting as the link between the Operations and Design Teams
  • Maintaining and updating planning system to assist in Sales KPI achievement
  • Raising purchase orders for materials, and following up with suppliers to ensure lead times are adhered to.
  • Provide all necessary paperwork for manufacturing to the Plant Manager and Supervisors.
  • Co-ordinate and prepare daily dispatch documentation, compiling and relaying scheduled transport documentation to Transport Contractor and Drivers.


As Production Planner you will need the ability to remain calm in a challenging environment as well as the ability to forge longstanding relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also need to have the following:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to competently make decisions to support prioritisation
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Logistic experience or proven track record of managing or coordinating projects involving multiple teams
  • Microsoft Office experience including Excel to an intermediate level.
