Production Planner for a Modular Home Manufacturer based in Liverpool, delivering residential homes throughout the UK, ranging from houses to high-rise buildings.

With a strong pipeline of work, they are capable of producing over 400 homes per year and with an expected turnover in excess of £50m this year and double for next year this is a good time for a strong Production Planner to come on-board.


Your Responsibilities: -

  • Liaising with sales division to determine customer requirements
  • Approve materials, costs, manufacturing equipment, and the size of the workforce needed to manufacture goods
  • Predict how long a project will take to complete
  • Develop a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet the predicted completion date
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, the human resources department, and maintenance employees to ensure all workers, materials, and machinery will be available when required
  • Monitor project's progress to ensure it's following the schedule
  • Troubleshoot problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions
  • Organise project paperwork, including purchase orders, and maintains records
  • Monitor production and raw material costs
  • Collect and assesses data about the production and team's performance
  • Prepare reports about production processes for upper management and suggest ways to improve efficiency
  • Track design correspondence with all involved parties to ensure all required information is received and recorded
  • Monitor and record any design variations, maintaining a record of all design/manufacture changes
  • Adhere to robust quality management and control procedures to ensure right-first-time delivery of drawings and information to internal and external recipients
  • Maintain the revision and status-controlled library of all designs, drawings and BOMs
  • Attend and contribute to project launch meetings, reviewing the specification, tender drawings, site surveys, architect's drawings.
  • Ensure all work is carried out within any project programme constraints
