£23,012 - Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm

Waymade are looking for two new operators to join their production team

You will be part of the process team that produce batches of high-quality pharmaceutical products, the role involves operating specialised machinery within a Blister Clean Room, working on a wrap and hand re-labelling/barcoding line. The process brings together the raw ingredient all the way through to a finished pack and included control measures and quality checks during the production cycle.

Reporting to an Operations Team Leader your responsibilities will include:

  • Following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) procedures at all times.
  • Operating production machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Assisting with the setting/checking of production machinery for production.
  • Recording information and data during production phases accurately.
  • Completing all batch paperwork correctly.
  • Working with the team leader and quality department to ensure that production is started in a timely manner and all required checks are complete and logged on the appropriate paperwork.
  • Completing transactions using the company SAGE computer system.

What you will need:

  • A structured approach to work, organised with great attention to detail.
  • A Manual Handling Certificate would be helpful but training will be given.
  • Previous experience working within a similar role preferred but not essential.
  • Experience completing paperwork, clearly and correctly.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Capable of working to deadlines and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Reliable, flexible and hard working.
  • Ideally able to drive or live within a reasonable commute to Sovereign House, Miles Gray Rd, Basildon SS14 3FR as public transport is limited.

This is a full-time, permanent position.
