We're looking for a Programme Delivery Manager to join our Highways team based in either Exeter or Birmingham. Within this role, you can enjoy private health care, company car or car allowance, 26 days holiday plus bank holiday and even more.

Location: Birmingham or Exeter - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office

Contract: Permanent Fulltime

Salary: £40k - £60k

Responsibilities

As a Programme Delivery Manager, you'll be working within the GIS Business team, supporting them to manage the successful delivery of all Development Projects working alongside the GIS Consulting manager to build the GIS project portfolio. As a programme manager you're responsible not only for seeing the project through to a successful completion, but you're going to need experience leading and motivating a team to achieve that goal.

Your day to day will include:

  • Setup and manage project meetings and ensure teams are delivering to required timescales, management of key project stakeholders. (incl. identifying, engaging and comms plans) and the management of project risk.
  • Management of time, cost, quality, and safe delivery of the programme to achieve the projects objectives.
  • Assist with ongoing and cyclic projects to ensure compliance and continued service delivery
Who are we looking for?

This role of Programme Delivery Manager is great for you if have:

  • Knowledge of IT project management and delivery within a Dev Ops environment
  • Experience of creating project schedules to enable everyone involved to achieve the common goal
  • High level of IT competency, experience with all Microsoft Office packages

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A post-graduate business or project management qualification would be beneficial.
  • A track record in project & programme management. Able to demonstrate ability to deliver projects to meet both commercial and technical objectives.
  • Motivation and drive.
  • Ability to analyse data and make decisions on partial information.
  • Excellent communication skills. Strong inter-personal skills. Commercial awareness. Influencing/negotiating skills.
  • Good project planning, estimating and financial forecasting skills.
  • Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software
  • Proven ability to manage others.
