Programme Lead - Net Zero rollout

Excellent opportunity to work for a Utilities consultancy and deliver multiple Net Zero projects to meet a client's Net Zero 2030 goals.

Location: Exeter

Salary: £95,000 - £100,000 basic + Package

Hybrid working pattern with 2-3 days from home or 2-3 days from the office in Exeter.

Role Description:

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a growing Utilities consultancy that has hit £20m t/o and over 140 employees with continued growth across 2023 & 2024.

With recent project awards regarding Net Zero governance and associated projects to ensure these are met, a position has arisen for a Programme Lead. Working with the various internal stakeholders to develop the programme, ensure it is in line with the new legislation, develop the policies and processes to implement it then oversee the programme delivery.

You will have a small team of change professionals working with you, delivering the day-to-day projects and keeping the communication clear and concise against the master programme.

Your role is to assess the projects against the agreed programme, is it on time and to budget ? and how is the project progressing against the client's expectations ? has the project been clearly communicated across the relevant stakeholders? working with the stakeholders across multiple projects, able to view the project objectively to identify and mitigate risks that may occur.

Communication and Change experience is key as with any project involving Net Zero change there will be some resistance (Not everyone wants an Electric car for example) It's how you can build champions within the organisation that can allow you to deliver a successful programme.

You don't need to have worked in the Utilities sector before, but you do need to have change management experience and be involved with Net Zero initiatives. The following sectors would be good options be it client-side or already working in a consultancy.

  • Highways
  • Aviation
  • Environmental
  • Civil Engineering
  • Energy - Renewable, Nuclear, Power Generation, Infrastructure
  • Construction

Required Experience

  • Leading Transformation or Change Projects, from the client brief to programme completion.
  • A Formal qualification HND / Degree / MBA
