The job
Progress Mentor. This is a full-time position and both Permanent and Temporary positions are available.
Role responsibilities
To promote inclusion and support learning.
To help all students particularly those who may have difficulties in terms of motivation and learning to stay on course and achieve.
To deliver and be responsible for a tutor group.
To cover lessons on a short term basis for absent teachers as required
The person & qualifications
Good general education at NVQ level 2 or equivalent including literacy & numeracy at Level 2
Certificate of Learning Support or willingness to work towards
Appropriate training and / or a willingness to undertake training in supporting the needs of disengaged / disadvantaged students who may have emotional and behaviour problems
