The College
This college is one of the leading FE colleges based in West Yorkshire with over 7 campuses across the region. The college is very ambitious and has been graded GOOD by OFSTED with some areas even close to or graded as OUTSTANDING.
The job
You will be responsible for the delivery of effective teaching and learning across the Progression programme. You will deliver consistently good or better teaching sessions and motivate learners to raise their ambitions and realise their full potential.
Role responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor potential students / leaving students to ensure a smooth transition in and/or out of the department.
Provide excellent communication and act as the day to day contact between the college and partners (e.g. schools, LA, Social Workers, transport).
Liaise closely with the support and curriculum strands to develop and manage the programme of study for each student to ensure it is fit for purpose and outlines clear destination routes.
The person & qualifications
Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be working towards one (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed).
Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in a related subject area.
Have recent experience of the BTEC, GCSE, A Level curriculum
A DBS Certificate that is on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
