Project Controls Managers from a Cost Management background will enjoy working client side within the Data Centre market in a Global role, helping to set up and lead the Project Controls team to ensure the wider delivery team can meet its targets and requirements. Roles and Responsibilities
- Leading the project controls team with accurate and effective strategies to support data collection for reporting
- Leading the team to ensure that the cost management, risk management and planning requirements are carried out to timescales required
- Lead a team by setting individuals' objectives, reviewing performance, undertaking appraisals, and providing on-going feedback on a formal and informal basis
- Leading the team to ensure that the cost management, risk management, planning, scheduling, and reporting requirements are carried out to required deadlines
- Developing the project controls strategy to review and agree on cost and schedule baselines, control budgets and forecasts
- Develop and implement a schedule management tool for portfolio as well as project level use
- Coordinating with the Commercial team in producing periodic reports for the project, commercial, finance and board requirements
- Liaising with the Development Team and supporting their production of initial project schedules and budgets
- Leading the implementation of the complete of project control management arrangements
- Supporting digital transformation activities and the development and implementation of new reports, templates, and processes
- Implement/execute the cost and schedule management program.
- Develop reporting dashboards to communicate cost and schedule performance to teams in real time. Implement a standardized suite of cost and schedule reports that enable senior management to make data driven decisions.
- Establish risk management protocol which includes identification, documentation, mitigation and tracking of potential risks on the project. In addition, determine potential cost and schedule/progress impacts of potential risks as they are identified.
Personal Requirements
- Experience managing a team of people, ideally within an international environment
- Cost Management / QS background, with experience in both pre-contract and post-contract project environments.
- Data Centre construction experience essential
- 10+ years experience in the construction industry
- Experience working for a Main Contractor, Consultancy or Client organisation
