Strategic Projects deliver high value, complex building projects. Working nationwide we partner with our Regional businesses to blend their local knowledge with our large-scale expertise. From urban regeneration and commercial developments, through to cutting-edge laboratories and large-scale public sector facilities, we build and renew spaces for healing, learning, trading, protecting and discovering.

Kier Strategic Projects is currently seeking a Project Director to join their team for delivery of major projects (£100m +) within the Custodial, Defence, Aviation, Science and Commercial Sectors.


Key Responsibilities

The Project Director is responsible for directing the site management team through all phases of a project to meet the contract requirements and delight the customer.

Reporting into the Operations Director you will be monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality. Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions. Living the Kier values and promoting wellbeing for all team members whilst implementing and ensuring compliance with Kier's group policies.

In addition to the ownership of individual projects you will also be involved with generating new business in line with the business plan.


What do we need from you?

As you will be leading at a strategic level on complex and high value projects, we will be looking for extensive history on similar profile projects of £100m plus. You will need to be able to demonstrate our core values of collaborative, trusted and focused in your working methods, ethics and approach. To be successful, you will be client focused, results driven, commercially minded, a motivational leader with healthy and safety at the heart of everything you do.
