Job Overview:

We are working with an incredibly successful Mission Critical contractor who are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Director to join our team in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing this brand new hyperscale Data Centre construction project, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering and a proven track record in successfully delivering large-scale Data Centre projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall project, ensuring successful delivery from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to establish project goals and expectations.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and financial targets.
  • Provide strategic direction to project teams, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Oversee the M&E aspects of Data Centre construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, promoting a strong safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Director within the Data Centre construction space.
  • Strong background in M&E engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of relevant systems and technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably within the Data Centre sector.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
