Our client, an award winning construction company based in North East Lincolnshire is seeking to recruit an Experienced Project Manager to complement their existing successful team.
Due to expansion and an increased workload, our client is seeking to appoint a suitable candidate on a permanent basis as soon as possible.
Specialising in construction projects up to £3m in the Lincolnshire and extended East Yorkshire region, they have a variety of clients in a range of sectors, including Aviation, Civil Engineering, Design & Build Works, Development Works, Education, Healthcare, New Build, Refurbishment Works, Retail, Maintenance Works, Marine Works and Rail.
As a Project Manager you will:
* Be robust and take ownership ofd a project from start to finish to make sure projects are delivered to time, cost and quality.
* Manage the customer relationship during delivery, including change and decision making to manage expectations.
* Ensure policies are followed by the relevant teams.
* Manage external consultants (e.g Design) to enable delivery - driving value, customer focus and achievement of the project's objectives.
* Manage post-completion issues to maintain a positive customer relationship and repeat business performance levels.
* Ensire risk, issues and dependencies are being recorded, monitored and proactively managed to minimise disruption to a successful delivery.
Experience / Skills / Qualifications;
* Valid SMSTS / CSCS Card.
* Hold a degree / HND or have equivalent experience on project management within the construction sector.
* Full UK Driving License.
* Have a thorough understanding of architectural drawings and building design.
* Good working knowledge of Word / Excel.
* Supervisory / man-management experience essential with exceptional team leadership skills.
* An achiever who can negotiate effectively whilst maintaining good client relations, think strategically, bring out the best from internal and external talent and solve problems with minimum disruption.
* Have excellent organisational skills with a high ability to multi task and manage expectations.
* Excellent communications skills are essential with a high ability to liaise with a variety of personalities from Clients and Sub Contractors to architects and designers.
* Attention to detail is key, both with aspects of the build and with the monitoring of the project spend to ensure margins are not compromised.
