The Role: Project Manager

My client, a well known name in their Industry are looking to recruit a Project Manager who will be tasked with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the realisation department, as well as contributing and participating positively in other areas of the business including;- procurement, engineering standards, QMS, H&S.

Key Responsibilities

    Control costs in line with budget

    Prepare acceptance test criteria documents and functional specifications for purchase of equipment required with projects

    analyse offers from suppliers in terms of design, price, performance, maintainability, availability, safety and reliability. Identify problem areas and ensure quality of design during all stages of the project

    Open and maintain good relations with clients and subcontractors, communicating at all levels

    Ensure that all project team members understand their tasks and organise the project team delegating tasks as required

The Right Person

The successful Project Manager will have previously held a role of responsibility and leadership within a project environment and within a project team as well as the following skills and attributes:

    Experience of planning and controlling subcontract / manpower

    Practical experience of Industrial installations

    Knowledge of National and European regulations relating to health & safety

    Academic recognition and practical experience in operations/engineering or science discipline

    Educated to Degree level in Science/Engineering discipline (desirable, but nor essential)
