We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working with Network Rail, we are delivering Oxford Station Phase 2 works which will increase capacity through Oxford Station to accommodate additional services planned from 2024.
We are now recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Oxford to take ownership of a multi-disciplinary project by managing resources (people, finance and physical assets) in a safe and timely manner to the required quality.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting Project Manager role, you will drive the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with Kier and Network Rail standards, as well as promote integrated working with other members within the project to create a one-team ethos, including development of team members.
The Project Manager will take full ownership and accountability for cost management of your project, ensuring robust control of Target Cost, actual costs and forecasts through commercial awareness. They will lead on-site construction works and drive the implementation and monitoring of Performance Excellence. It will be the responsibility of the project manager to ensure all labour, plant, materials and supply chain resources are accurately recorded and identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
What do we need from you?
We are looking for a Project Manager who has proven capability working on Network Rail projects, or in a comparable setting, has excellent communication and project management skills and is able to establish project requirements and drive the team to deliver the outcomes in terms of quality, cost, and programme. Someone who has excellent leadership skills, problem-solving skills, and good attention to detail. You will be able to work as part of a team to deliver objectives, as well as a proactive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach. You will be a Chartered Member of the ICE (or working towards) and relevant qualifications - degree level, or equivalent experience
