We're looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in the Southwest working on the National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED).

Location: Can be based out of any of our NGED depots in the South West listed on the advert- company car or cash allowance provided for the travel

Contract: Permanent, full time- flexible/ part time hours available if desired, just let us know and we'll do our best to support you

Responsibilities

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected.

In this role, you will be working on our National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED) contract, where we work on maintaining, repairing, and upgrading the electricity distribution network across the chosen area.

As Project Manager, you will manage the delivery of the Electricity Network improvement projects across the South West and actively tender for large schemes released by National Grid.

You will play a vital role in managing the operational teams and be responsible for all stages of excavation works on site. This role offers the opportunity to be your own boss, manage your workload and arrange regular site visits. We will support you with all the training and development required. The successful candidate would be offered the opportunity to develop their skills to grow into the role of Senior Project Manager in the future.

Your day to day will include:


  • Pre-contract site visits to determine project requirements
  • Coordinate labour, materials, plant & sub-contractors in accordance with the requirements of project programmes & timescales for maximum utilisation
  • Scope and propose solutions to network problems
Who are we looking for?

This role of Project Manager is great for you if you hold:

  • Experience within the utility sector supervising a team
  • NRSWA qualification
  • A Full Driving Licence
