Heritage project manager
I am working with a client who have a 2 year refurbishment project of nationally significant Grade 1 Property on the Buckinghamshire /Bedfordshire/Oxon border and require a project manager with Heritage experience to oversee the project.
The client are a specialist contractor on the heritage sector working on prestigious and unique projects for clients that include Historic Royal palaces, National Trust, English Heritage, Oxford colleges as well as many private clients often on large country estates.
They are looking to employ the right candidate on a permanent basis paying in the region of £65- £75k plus benefits.

Heritage project manager
The role requires the successful candidate to:
- Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution, control and completion of a significant heritage building project, including management and delivery of project milestones.
- Effectively manage and maintain appropriate budget costs, achieving targets.
- Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and effectively manage and co-ordinate their works within an overall target programme.
- Manage the decision-making process by carrying out all necessary liaison and negotiation with all parties involved ensuring value for money.
- Carry out contract administration including financial management, liaising with our in house and the client QS as well as external consultants.
- Resolve technical problem's ensuring work is carried out to the correct specification and quality standards.
- Represent the company at meetings, promote the correct company image and ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities in this area.
- Lead management of design consultants to ensure information is provided to suit the procurement strategy.
The successful Project manager will have:
- Relevant experience working on large heritage building projects
- Experience of installing sizeable M&E systems within the confines of a listed building
- Relevant qualifications and experience as a project manager
- Excellent organisational & communication skills
- The ability to act independently, prioritise and influence others
- Full understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Commercial and Contractual awareness
- An ability to work with a range of stakeholders and to create and influence a team working environment
- Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft office
- A full UK driving licence
