Gleeson has been partnered with a FMCG Business looking for a Project Manager to join there organically growing business. This Opportunity would allow the professional to further expand there experience in FMCG environments as well as offer further development in there career.

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Herefordshire

Salary: £60,000 +

Duties:

  • Efficiently collect, interpret, and report metrics/KPIs for effective decision-making in manufacturing operations.
  • Develop project plans to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance packaging line efficiency and project delivery while ensuring health and safety compliance.
  • Maintain project databases, capturing all relevant data and decisions.
  • Lead LEAN process improvement workshops for idea generation and solutions.
  • Eliminate non-value-added tasks to improve efficiency and reduce complexity.
  • Manage change programs to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews for project success and future improvements.
  • Identify, escalate, and manage projects with broader links or risks.
  • Operate within budgetary controls and use data to reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Identify and escalate the cost benefits of project improvements.
  • Maintain strict control over capital expenditures.
  • Establish the cost of non-value-added activities.
  • Promote a healthy, risk-free working environment.
  • Involve the Health and Safety team from the start of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and site policies in all activities.
  • Address Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations requirements in improvements.
  • Use continuous improvement to reduce risk and enhance safety.
  • Ensure outside contractors Risk Assessment and Method Statements are documented and filed.
  • Collaborate with staff to drive process and packaging changes.
  • Ensure team knowledge and understanding of projects and H&S aspects before handover.
  • Ensure activities comply with site technical standards BRC & ISO
  • Involve the Technical team to address environmental impacts.
  • Focus on food safety requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations.
  • Adhere to professional conduct and comply with QMS standards and company policies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience FMCG.
  • Project Manager Experience
  • Experience with environmental and sustainability projects
  • All aspects of Compliance and H&S
