Responsibilities
Kier has been appointed by Severn Trent, to design & build the UK's first catchment-scale flood resilience programme. This involves the design and construction of a suite of interventions across Mansfield to improve the flood resilience of the town. The overall aim of the project is to remove 58,000 m3 of surface water run-off from the sewer network by constructing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS). They work by diverting surface water away from sewers, slowing it down and helping the drains to cope.
As a?Project Manager?you'll be managing sections of the overall scheme on behalf, and reporting into the Lead Project Manager.
Your day to day will include:
- You'll be working closely with site delivery team and manage resources and supply chain subcontractors onsite.
- You'll be responsible for production, and ongoing review, of RAMS and self-delivery works and ensure that QA procedures are implemented and monitored.
- You'll ensure that all labour, plant, materials, and supply chain resources are accurately recorded, and that Inspection & Test Plans are produced and implemented correctly.
- You'll focus on implementations of document control, reconciliations for bulk material supply and ensure that latest drawings are being used
This role of Project Manager is great for you if:
- You'll be qualified to degree level or equivalent Management qualification or HNC/NVQ Level 3.
- Proven experience in the delivery of schemes in the public highway/public realm, delivering work visible to the public.
- Utilities experience, NRSWA Supervisor
- Line management and leadership of the engineers, and ensuring the successful completion of their duties
- Excellent experience in the NEC4 form of contract
