Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations and Customer Manager the 'Planned Works' Project Manager will primarily be responsible for the successful delivery of clean water diversionary schemes, developer services requisitions and other clean water project related works.

The role will require the production and management of an ongoing delivery programme ensuring schemes are planned affectively & efficiently in accordance with the contract Levels of Service. You will be required to liaise with other managers and contracts within Kier and be able to affectively co-ordinate the use of shared resources. Close client relationships will need to be established as well as liaison with Highway Authorities and our local supply chain partners. Working closely with our in-house design team you will need to ensure a systematic handover of projects from design to construction. You will be responsible for short- and long-term planning of resources, plant, materials and equipment to ensure our contractual and legal obligations are met. Working closely with the stores and logistics team will be a key driver for this role also.

You will also be a champion for health and safety standards across the business, carry out and review site safety audits / inspections, carry out investigations to a high standard and be responsible for Operational Delivery, Commercial Performance and HSE compliance for the Area. You will have a good understanding of street works requirements considering the implementation of permits and be able Manage HR related issues and work in accordance with the HR Team, as well as ensuring Kier governance protocols and procedures are applied. You will also be required to prepare investigations for wider review, write reports, attend local and regional review meetings and to participate in a 24/7/365 standby rota.
What do we need from you?

You will have proficient planning and co-ordination skills and use effective communication methods with a good understanding of MS Packages including work & excel as well as a good knowledge of health and safety in the workplace. You will be able to learn and work in a close team and demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. You will have at least 10 years' working on water related projects clean and waste with experience of renovation and/or developer type works.

You will also have a proven track record of managing a programme of works for multiple concurrent schemes and be competent in reviewing, understanding and managing the works ensuring compliance with the approved construction drawings. It is also imperative that you hold a full UK drivers' licence and have relevant qualifications (e.g. Management qualification at NVQ, CITB SMSTS / SSSTS or IOSH equivalent).
