JOB DESCRIPTION:

Project Manager required for a large nationwide construction company that specialises in facility management projects. Our client is looking for experienced and hardworking project manager to join a project based in Derby.

This Project Manager contract will be ongoing, with hours being 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday and the potential option to work overtime at the weekends.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Represent the company at meetings, promote the correct company image and ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities in this area.

  • Assist in the management of design consultants (where applicable) to ensure information is provide to suit the procurement strategy and that the production of working drawings is completed within given timeframes

  • Add value to the design process by challenging solutions, methods and techniques where appropriate to improve build ability and reduce whole life costs. Review elements of CDM to ensure that construction works can be maintained safely after construction has been completed. Work to develop all aspects of preconstruction including but not limited to inputting information to form the preconstruction information and the planning of works to ensure logistical issues with working in a live vicinity are overcome.

  • Manage the trade contractors including the production of working drawings, procurement and prefabrication and performance on site.

  • Ensure good communications within the project and regularly brief other team members. Provide regular written progress reports to monitor performance and highlight deficiencies at an early stage.

Requirements for the role

  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Experience working on facility management contracts
  • Own PPE - High vis vest, safety glasses, gloves, dust mask and hard hat can be provided by Daniel Owen
