Project Manager - Timber Frame
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 + Car
Covering South East & South of UK
Do you have experience within the housing or timber frame sector?
Description of Role:
To control and co-ordinate the delivery and erection of Timber Frame buildings on behalf of Developers, Housing Associations and Main Contractors. You will be responsible for multiple new and existing construction sites throughout the South & South East from handover through to completion. Candidates would be ideally based along the M4 corridor or Slough area to give relataviely commutable distance to sites.
Skills and Knowledge:
Experience of working with Residential developers, Principal contractors and sub-contractors, having a good understanding of Health and Safety on construction sites with the ability to close out any defects that are raised by the assembly team or client in a quick and safe time scale and complete sites within budget and to programme.
Knowledge of timber frame construction essential
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Attend internal meetings where new sites are handed over from commercial to construction
- Formulate site specific RAMS
- Liaise with clients and produce Delivery/Build programmes to relevant departments
- Attend on site Pre order and pre start meetings with clients
- Liaise and negotiate tenders with assembly teams
- Working to Budgets of the assembly and cranes
- Monitor and sign off stage of build handovers
- Thorough Plot checks, snagging and Quality control
- Detailed reporting to relevant departments of any deficiencies being raised on site
- Recording of Daily diaries and site visiting reports
- Carry out regular Tool Box Talks
- Attend weekly construction review meetings
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Experience in Timber frame and Traditional construction
- SMSTS/CSCS - Site Manager, Card Holder
- Scaffold appreciation and temporary works awareness
- Experience in working with cranes (CPCS beneficial)
- Must be driven to achieve results in terms of Quality, Profitability and Programme
- Must be IT proficient
- Good knowledge and understanding of site working drawings
- Good communication skills
- Working under pressure
- Must be willing to travel
