There is an opportunity to work with the Explore planning team enabling you to develop your project management skills developing programmes for projects being delivered by Explore Manufacturing to our associate group companies and also projects for multiple clients external to the group. The programmes will be developed in parallel with projects and used to drive the manufacturing and subsequent coordination activities - design, production optimisation, materials procurement & resource allocations
What will the role look like?
- An opportunity to integrate within an established planning team
- Develop your planning/project management skills within LOR's flagship production facility
- Becoming proficient in the activities noted below throughout the design, manufacturing, and construction project lifecycle.
You will further your knowledge and experience by developing your skills in the following activities:
- Work with design, technical and bid teams to develop an initial bid programme and develop specific design/manufacture lead-ins based on tender information
- Assisting in developing initial information required schedules (IRS) for the project and design teams.
- The development of more detailed manufacturing programmes throughout the PCSA period, updating and incorporating design and technical information
- Linking the component design and manufacture programme to the main consultant design and project construction programmes ensuring that adequate lead-in periods (encompassing stock build-up requirements) are included and advised across the project team.
- Liaise with the coordination teams led by Explore contracts managers.
- Liaise with the project technical and planning function on a weekly basis everybasisevery week to develop a progress position, reporting back design anomalies that will affect EIP design, production, and project installations.
- Update the component design and construction programme commensurate with the development of the project Construction Programme.
- Development of any major changes or revisions to the Programme to Build, undertake cause and effect analysis and reports, ensuring programme changes are fully signed off and agreed upon before working on them (monthly).
- Assist the specific coordination team(s) with the updating of production schedules based on project progress or agreed on programme amendments.
- Use of JCT/NEC contractual and commercial awareness reporting back any commercial issues to the Explore project team
