Job Title: Project Surveyor

Salary: £65k - £75k - Dependent on experience
Projects: Mixed-use, open to all background experience
Our client, a dynamic company operating in the construction industry, is currently seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to join their team. The primary focus of the role will be managing projects in the Residential, Commercial, Medical, Educational, Leisure, and Hotels construction sectors, with a particular emphasis on projects within the Notting Hill and Chelsea areas.
Responsibilities:
Project Surveyor role on live projects generally - To carry out all works using the company's standard forms/live documents, following the companys processes and keeping SharePoint updated at all times.
Agreeing & Completing Works orders & Appointments including but not limited to -
- Site Set Up Works - Temp Mechanical & Electrical Works, Welfare build, Hoardings etc
- Asbestos Removals
- Demolition and structural alterations
- Structural steel & concrete
- Facade & roofing
- Fit out
- M&E / lift installations
- Site Engineering & Monitoring
- Scaffolding
- CEMP, Planning items etc
- Temporary Works Engineer
- Building Control Consultancy
- Labour orders
- Material purchases as required for enabling works, if any required
On Site the QS shall be responsible for -
- Agree Subcontractor Monthly Valuations, including variations. Issue Subcontractor Payment Certificates and update Subcontractor Payment Schedule monthly as required, including site meetings as required
- Formulate, Submit & Agree Client Monthly Valuations, including agreement of variations including site meetings as required.
- Formulate and run Procurement Schedule with the Project Manager to ensure packages are placed in a timely manner
- Agree any other early orders as required to maintain programme / lead in - steel frame, concrete, façade works & the like.
- Attend weekly internal site meetings using the Iconic standard reporting process.
- Attend monthly client progress meeting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Surveyor with a focus on Main Contractor responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of either Residential, Commercial, Medical, Educational, Leisure, and Hotels construction sectors. Mixed-Use developments.
- Ability to manage projects independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Adept at conducting cost analysis and feasibility studies.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or certification in Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Membership in a professional surveying or construction management association is a plus.
