Property Accountant - 12 month FTC - Mayfair - £40,000 to £45,000
My client, a highly respected, well established and independent commercial real estate firm, are seeking a Property Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract basis to join their growing team in Mayfair.
You will be reporting to the Head of Client Accounting and take over a portfolio of commercial real estate including retail, leisure, office buildings and some mixed-use blocks working with high-net-worth individuals.
Strong potential to go permanent depending on the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full client, landlord and tenant liaison for a portfolio of clients.
- Handling Client and Tenant queries in a professional and efficient manner, providing further assistance where necessary.
- Creating and maintaining head lease and tenant leases in Tramps, including renewal, reviews and terminations.
- Create Tenant deposit accounts on Tramps and CMS.
- Producing accurate tenant demands for rent, service charges and ad hoc charges.
- Processing of tenant refunds and arrears write-offs.
- Monthly and weekly Client rent payovers.
- Review of Client and Tenant arrears alongside Credit Control and Property Managers and reporting to Client where requested.
- Work with Tenants, Property Managers and Credit Control to implement payment plans, ensuring they are approved and followed through for smooth arrears resolution.
- Monthly standard and bespoke Client reporting on tenant receipts, arrears, tenant demands and property expenditure.
- Monthly and quarterly Vat reporting where required.
- Update annual service charge budgets in accordance with internal KPI's.
- Liaising with Property Managers for approval of service charge budgets, documentation for new leases and rent reviews, and to resolve queries.
- Resolve queries on service charge reconciliation.
- Transition out of sold properties, including closing end of management service charge reconciliations and clearing property balances.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
- Backup for uploading creditor invoices onto Mojo.
Skills and Attributes:
- 3-5 years Property/Client Accountant experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Must have current TRAMPS Accounting software experience
- Good organisation skills
- Attention to detail
Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm, 2 days per week WFH
